The exhibition "Riding the Wave of Design: 60 Years of KSADA" in the NAA of Ukraine reveals the main design trends in the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts.

Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts commemorates an important date - 60 years of the creation of the first Ukrainian centre for training designers: industrial objects, environment, graphic and multimedia designers, and fashion designers.
In the early second half of the 20th century, in 1962, the new profession of "designer" (at that time "artist designer") in Ukraine was founded on the basis of the then Kharkiv State Art Institute, which since 1963 became the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute (KhUDPROM), and since 2001 - in the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, which boasts a 100-year history, where for 60 years design education has acquired power and development.

The art event is dedicated to different stages of the development of design education at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, one of the ambassadors of higher professional art education institutions in Ukraine.
The exposition is exceptional: it presents both documentary photographs and models with modern 3D presentations of design objects of various functional purposes, which have the nature of socially oriented innovative developments and demonstrate the current stage of development of the five main design directions in the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts.
The exhibition space is a unique centre that combines educational, methodological, research, art and design achievements, making it possible to realize the powerful contribution of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts to Ukrainian and international design education and science.
The exhibition space offers visitors of the art event offers networking platforms and a "Design-Talking" hub to exchange reflections from the material delivered by the invited speakers, who are the leading practitioners and theorists of design.
