On 26 April, the solo exhibition of Volodymyr Mykyta, the academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, took place in the Hungarian House named after M. Munkácsy in Mukachevo, Transcarpathian region.

The meeting was attended by President V. Sydorenko, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Fine Arts A. Chebykin, Head of the Western Regional Scientific and Artistic Centre, Corresponding Member M. Bokotey, Academician A. Melnyk, participants of the First International Plein Air ‘Polyana - A Source of Inspiration’.
The exhibition of paintings by the Transcarpathian maestro demonstrates the ouevre of V. Mykyta in various periods, including the last decade, where abstract concepts prevail.
President V. Sydorenko extended his regards to the author and emphasised the significance of his outstanding work for contemporary Ukrainian culture.
