NewsConferment of Honorary Distinctions by the NAA of Ukraine

On 14 May, the Grand Hall of the NAA of Ukraine hosted a ceremonial presentation of honorary distinctions bestowed by the NAA of Ukraine

The President of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Victor Sydorenko, opened the ceremony and emphasised the laureates’ significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture, art, and scholarship.

As part of the celebratory event, the Presidium of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine conferred the following awards:Oleksandr Dubovyk, Honorary Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, recipient of the Presidential Distinction “National Legend of Ukraine,” was awarded the Order of Arts of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, First Class, for his outstanding lifelong contribution to Ukrainian visual art;
Mykhailo Selivachov, Professor of the Department of Theory and History of Art at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, PhD in Art History, was awarded the Order of Arts of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Third Class, for his distinguished contribution to Ukrainian art history;
Olha Lahutenko, Chief Research Fellow at the Modern Art Research Institute of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, PhD in Art History, Professor, received the Distinction of the Presidium of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine for her fundamental research into the genesis of Ukrainian art and culture, as well as for her many years of academic and teaching activity;
Maryna Soloviova, Director of the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration), received the Distinction of the Presidium of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine for her many years of dedicated work in the field of cultural heritage preservation;
Tetiana Osinchuk, Director General of the Municipal Institution “Centre for Conservation of Archaeological Objects,” was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine for her longstanding and fruitful activity in the field of cultural heritage preservation.
For their significant personal contribution to the development of circus arts, outstanding creative achievements, and exceptional professional mastery, on the occasion of International Circus Day, the following individuals were honoured:
Distinction of the Presidium of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine:Nataliia Vasylenko, Deputy Director General of the National Circus of Ukraine;Liubov Hrushovska, Deputy Director General of the National Circus of Ukraine;Pavlo Knysh, Director General of the State Enterprise “Directorate of Touring Circus Companies of Ukraine,” People’s Artist of Ukraine;Ihor Khlibosolov, Director General of the State Enterprise “Kryvyi Rih State Circus,” Honoured Art Worker of Ukraine;Viktor Shabatko, Director General of the State Enterprise “Dnipro State Circus.”

Honorary Diploma of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine:Ihor Bachynskyi, senior orchestra artist of the National Circus of Ukraine;Svitlana Dobrovolska, Head of the Artistic and Creative Department of the State Circus Company of Ukraine, Honoured Artist of Ukraine;Tetiana Drobot, animal trainer with the State Circus Company of Ukraine;Yurii Drobot, circus artist in the sports acrobatics genre, Honoured Artist of Ukraine;Olena Zakharenko, Chief Administrator of Audience Services at the National Circus of Ukraine;Nataliia Kilovata, Head of the Costume Department of the National Circus of Ukraine;Yuliia Kozyreva, senior trainer of predatory animals at the National Circus of Ukraine;Bohdan Kravchuk, senior orchestra artist of the National Circus of Ukraine;Ihor Lysenko, Head of the Legal Department of the National Circus of Ukraine;Natalia Solianyk, Assistant to the Director General of the National Circus of Ukraine;Stepan Yakymiv, senior orchestra artist of the National Circus of Ukraine.
In addition, Ivan Kyrylenko, Chair of the Subcommittee on Science, Innovation Activity, and Intellectual Property of the Verkhovna Rada (Supreme Council) Committee on Education and Science, presented the Certificate of Appreciation of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to:

Roman Balayan, Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, laureate of the USSR State Prize and the Oleksandr Dovzhenko State Prize of Ukraine, People’s Artist of Ukraine, for his civic engagement, exceptional professionalism, and significant contribution to the scientific, technological, cultural, and educational development of Ukraine;

Mykola Diomin, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in Architecture, People’s Architect of Ukraine, PhD in Architecture, Professor, for his civic engagement, exceptional professionalism, and significant contribution to the scientific, technological, cultural, and educational development of Ukraine;

Liudmyla Kodakova, Head of the Protocol and General Affairs Department of the Presidium Office of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, Honoured Cultural Worker of Ukraine, for her conscientious work, professional achievements, and significant contribution to the cultural and educational development of Ukraine;

Andrii Chebykin, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Visual Arts, Academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, People’s Artist of Ukraine, Professor, for his civic engagement, exceptional professionalism, and significant contribution to the scientific, technological, cultural, and educational development of Ukraine.
