While working on the world-famous children's adventure novel, the organisers tried to explore such an urgent and sensitive topic as childhood and war. Unfortunately, the war broke into the childhood of modern Ukrainian children, into the childhood and growing up period of the young actors who take part in the play. Therefore, the audience was able to experience their recent pre-war happiness and joy, as well as the young performers' reflection on the tragic realities that our country is facing as a result of russian armed aggression.

The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine Victor Sydorenko, scientific consultant and academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine Oleksii Bezgin, and corresponding member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine Nataliia Vladymyrova.

The play was directed by Dmytro Konyk, a PhD student of the first department of acting and drama direction at the KNUTKiT. The actors are students of the 2-AMTiK (B) course of KNUTKiT; the artistic director is the winner of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, People's Artist of Ukraine, Professor Bohdan Beniuk.

The Academy is grateful to the KNUTKiT team for staging it in the Great Hall, which makes it possible to expand the circle of connoisseurs of national art for the worthy nurturing of Ukrainian culture.
