On September 19, at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, a special ceremony was held to honour a great friend of Ukraine — Canadian opera and symphony conductor, founder and music director of the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra, and principal conductor of the Kyiv Camerata ensemble, Keri-Lynn Wilson. She was presented with the highest award of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine — the Order of Arts, First Class — in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Ukrainian performing arts and the promotion of contemporary Ukrainian musical culture.

The award was presented by Viktor Sydorenko, President of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, who emphasised Wilson’s significant role in affirming the harmony of Ukraine’s spiritual life and global musical art.

The celebration took place in the Philharmonic’s shelter due to an air raid alert. Still, it was successfully carried out thanks to the warm atmosphere created by lovers of classical music and the synergy of creative spirit.
