Orest Holubets is the author of more than 310 individual publications in periodicals, scientific collections and art catalogues in Ukraine and abroad (Poland, Lithuania, Japan). Among them: monographic studies "Lviv Ceramics (1991)," "Between Freedom and Totalitarianism: The Artistic Environment of Lviv in the Second Half of the 20th Century" (2001), "Art of the 20th Century: The Ukrainian Way" (2012). The significant theoretical works of the scientist are the basis for the multifaceted practical activity of the artist in the field of contemporary art.
Orest Holubets has organised and co-organised more than 70 international art events, exhibitions, conferences and symposia, and is a member of many international juries and exhibitions, as well as a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA). Working at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, he successfully combines scientific research with teaching. His duties as Head of the Department of Art Ceramics, Head of the Centre for International Relations and Marketing, and Prorector for Research allowed him to gain considerable experience and significantly expand the range of his scientific achievements (2001-2007). In 2007, he returned to the position of Head of the Department of Art Ceramics.
1954 – born on 25 October in Lviv. 1976 – graduated from the Lviv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts with a degree in Decorative and Applied Arts.1984 – defended his Candidate PhD thesis.1992 – awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.2003 – defended his PhD thesis.2004 – awarded the academic title of Professor.
He was awarded the Diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (2001), the badge "Excellence in Education of Ukraine" (2001).
