The style of Borys Kuzma is characterized by an extraordinary symbiosis of graphic art and painting. In his studies, still lifes, and landscapes, a distinctive coloristic impressionism prevails, along with elements of abstraction and postmodernism. From a weave of dynamic lines, painterly knots, and fragments, along with unexpected spatial constructs and bold colour solutions, the artist forms and presents his own intriguing and emotional impression of the real world. Borys Kuzma is a continuator and patriot of the artistic tradition of Transcarpathia.

The harmony in his works speaks the language of folk archetypes, reflecting the evolution of the Transcarpathian artistic school during its transition to contemporary art. Since 1999, Kuzma has been repeatedly elected as the head of the Transcarpathian Organization of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine and is a member of city and regional art councils and exhibitions committees, serving as the deputy head of the Public Council under the Regional State Administration for three convocations.

He has been awarded the Order of Merit III degree (2008) and the Silver Medal of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2008).
