The high professional level of Volodymyr Pryadka and his bright creative personality have gained him due recognition in Ukraine and abroad. He is the author of outstanding works of monumental and decorative art, mosaic and sculptural reliefs, stained glass works, and thematic tapestries. V. Pryadka organically combines his creative work with the public one: he speaks on radio, television, and has publications in the press. Numerous reviews about the artist's creative achievements are available in the media.

Major works: mosaic relief "The Sun of Love", tapestry "Hymn to Life", stained glass window "Family and Motherland" (Palace of Solemn Events, Oleksandriia, 1968-1970); tapestries "Rus" and "Dawn of the Revolution" (1978); "The Legend of Kyi" (Museum of History of Kyiv, 1982). Kyiv, 1982); "History of Cherkasy Land" and "Glory of Cherkasy Region" (1984); "Kyiv - the Hero City" (1985); colour scheme of the Troyeschyna neighbourhood (Kyiv, 1985); monumental and decorative painting of the ceiling of the lobby of the Vernadskyi Central Scientific Library (1988-1989); carpets "Ukrainian Night", "Nightingales", ceramic panel "Golden-Domed Kyiv", tapestries "Ancient Kyiv", "Chyhyryn", "Baturyn", "Glukhiv" (Palace "Ukraine", Kyiv, 1995-1996); monumental painting of the Varvara chapel, 10 icons for the facade of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral (1998-2000); a series of icons for the St. Andrew's and Transfiguration iconostases of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (2003); monumental and decorative painting in the interior of the National Union of Folk Art Masters (co-authored, 2003); icons "The Crucifixion of Jesus Christ with Angels", "The Crucifixion of the Apostle Andrew", "The Crucifixion of the Apostle Peter" (2004); easel works "Kyrylo Kozhumiaka" (Kyiv Puppet Theatre, 2005-2006), "Zynoviy-Bohdan Khmelnytsky - Hetman of All Rus-Ukraine" (2005), "Hetman Ivan Mazepa" (2007), "Hetman Petro Doroshenko" (2007), monumental painting in the interior of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra; "Fifth Ecumenical Council", "Seventh Ecumenical Council", "Apocalyptic Elders on the Vault", "Ukraine on Fire" (2009), monumental portraits of Hetman Ivan Mazepa (co-authored with O.Volodymyrova, 2007-2010), paintings "Cabbage Gully" and "Taras's Testament" (2012-2013).

1942 - born on 4 March in Khodoriv village, Myroniv district, Kyiv region.
1966 - graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute with a degree in Sculpture.
1966-1992 - Kyiv Monumental and Decorative Art Combine, monumental artist.
1992-2005 - Chairman of the Union of Folk Art Masters of Ukraine (1998 - the Union was granted the status of National).
1997-2005 - editor-in-chief of the "Folk Art" magazine.
2001-2004 - Corresponding Member of the AAU.

Position: Professor of the Department of Artistic Foundations of Decorative and Applied Arts at the Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design named after M. Boychuk.

Awarded: Order of Merit, 3rd Class (2002), Diploma of the Council of Ministers of Ukraine (1982), Gold Medal of the AAU (2012).
