Mykhailo Reznikovych has staged many productions in theatres in Kyiv and other cities, as well as in the countries of Bulgaria, China, and Israel. The artist has also delivered acting training in the Netherlands and the United States. For more than a quarter of a century, Reznikovych has been in charge of the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theatre. The artistic policy of Reznikovych is built in such a way that large-scale polyphonic stage compositions, showcasing the level and capabilities of the entire stage ensemble, are replaced by pinpoint performances, where bright stage personalities are highlighted in close-ups.
The artist's most prominent productions that have become part of the contemporary theatre treasury: L. Malyugin's "My Mocking Happiness", O. Ostrovsky's "Without a Dowry", "The Player" (after F. Dostoevsky), O. Arbuzov's The Winner, O. Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest", I. Bashevis Singer's "Teibele and Her Demon", R. Sheridan's "School of Scandal", "The Passion Story" (after H. James), "The Stone Master" by L. Ukrainka, "Don Quixote. 1938" by Mykhailo Bulgakov (based on M. Cervantes), "The Boarder" by I. Turgenev, "In This Lovely Old House" by O. Arbuzov, The False Note by D. Caron.
M. Reznikovych has directed two films at the Dovzhenko Kyiv Feature Film Studio: "Just Three Weeks" and "The Rain Washes Away All Traces", as well as a number of TV and radio performances. He has regularly initiated master classes and open lessons "Modern Theatre Training" at the author's courses at the Kyiv National I.K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Film and Television University, and is the author of the books "A Long Way to a Performance" and "From Rehearsal to Rehearsal", as well as the three-volume book "Theatre of Times".
The artist has been awarded the Orders: The Order of the State, Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the 4th and 5th class, "For Merit" of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd class, Commander (Italy), Certificate of Honour of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Gold Medal of the NAA of Ukraine.
