Tiberiy Szilvashi works in the area of monumental art and easel painting, and is one of the most prominent artists of contemporary Ukrainian art. Tiberiy Szilvashi's art is marked by a profound abstract culture and the use of various techniques, he combines innovation with the traditions of colour culture, scale and form in his creative work.  
Since the late 1980s Szilvashi has implemented his knowledge and talents by creating artworks that have become a remarkable phenomenon in Ukrainian art. Since the first years of his creative life, Szilvashi has been actively involved in the activities of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 1988-1991, he managed youth groups in Sedniv. In 1992, he established the association "Zhyvopisnyi Zapovednik" ("Zhyvopysny Zapovidnyk"), which played an important role in shaping the image of contemporary art in Ukraine. Exhibitions of the members of the association were held in the leading museums and galleries of the country. 
Szilvashi is engaged in the theory of contemporary art. He is the author of articles and essays on prominent artists of the past and our contemporaries.
