Oleksandr Soboliev was born on July 6, 1977, in Kharkiv city. In 1999, he graduated from the Kharkiv Art and Industrial Institute with a degree in Graphic Design. In 2004, he defended his thesis titled “Integration of Design and Marketing in Contemporary Project Culture” and was awarded the academic degree of PhD Candidate in Art History. He has been a member of the Designers' Union of Ukraine since 2007. In 2016, he was conferred the academic title of Professor. His total professional experience exceeds 25 years, with more than 8 years in executive roles at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Since 2014, he has held the position of First Vice-Rector for Academic and Scientific Affairs at the Academy. A committed educator, he continually refines curricula and introduces innovative teaching methodologies.

He is the author of numerous (47 titles) academic and methodological works, including: “Design as a Marketing Tool” (Kharkiv, 2002); “Application of the Analytical Function of Marketing in Graphic Design Projects” (Kharkiv, 2008); “Peculiarities of Contemporary Communication and Their Impact on Graphic Design” (Vitebsk, 2014); “Innovative Approaches as an Effective Tool for Enhancing Advertising and Printing Products” (Bilhorod, 2014); “Designing Information Design Objects: A Study Guide” (Kharkiv, 2015), among others.

Oleksandr Soboliev is a distinguished representative of the Kharkiv School of Design. He consistently establishes and maintains strong connections with relevant departments of the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, as well as the Lviv National Academy of Arts. He is actively engaged in sustaining international collaborations concerning the development of higher art education, fostering creative and pedagogical exchanges with Lithuania, Poland, China, Slovakia, Turkey, and other countries.
